i have a viewsat ultra...loved free channels when we had them...there semms to be no more fixes for us on standalone or iks so i think we are lost to the free satellite era...i hope there is a fix but im gonna miss it...anybody else feel the same...sometimes it is good to wish for the good old days

Hopefully someone will come out with a standalone fix before too much longer..Until than we can only wait or use the receiver for true fta sats..For that you'd need a minimum 36" dish with a linear lnb...Or you can update to one of the IKS units that is working.

yea i hear you but i bought to many receivers now dont have that many doors in my house to put them all to use so hopefully something will come out sooni have a nfusion nova coolsat 4000 5000 &6000 a vs extrem sv 4000 a old bev that i convert to atmega car for bev and dish and not one of them is up and running so wheres that leave me not to buy any more receivers

I hope so also. They are still making money on IKS. The pro's are not going to write bin files for nothing.

I know quite a few people with the Viewsat Xtreme and other assorted receivers also. We just do not know who will release a stand-alone fix.

As far as sales and profit whoever releases the stand alone fix will get the quick sales. The coding teams for sure want to be the heroes and make the bucks with a stand-alone N3 release.

Many, many testers have not decided to go with iks/ics or whatever and are waiting.

And many testers also have piles of receivers that are currently useless for anything other than true FTA. There may soon be a work-around for the CS 5/6K in the form of a dongle, but not available yet.

It would take me quite a while to sit and think of all the receivers that I have bought and tried over the years.Most of us true testers are all in the same boat.So just be patient and wait it out.
