loaded new code today, after install unit went to rebot and locked up, still in this mode and will not restart. Is there a reset button or switch to take it back to virgin mode? Help would be welcome.

you need to use the v105 factory file for the Viewsat 7000. So, write down your antenna settings. Do Factory Default. write the v105 factory file. Do another Factory Default. Load the latest New GUI 3rd party bin file. Do one more Factory Default. Then, setup satellites and rescan channels.

This will debrick your receiver.

As far as a cleaner file goes, writing the original factory 3 times followed by doing 3 Factory Defaults will "clean" your EEPROMs thoroughly to send you unit in.

Your problem sounds like not you are not properly factory defaulting and scanning channels periodically, which needs to be done from time to time.

How to flash for the CW700

1 - Download/Unzip files. transfer files onto USB stick then plug it into the box. You should see a message that says USB ready


2 - Now press the USB button on remote, highlight the files that you want to use, hit OK to load it. Now you will see this message “Do you want to update software/database?” Hit “YES”


3 – After it’s done, it will ask you “Do you want to reboot your receiver?” Hit “YES”


4- Once you have removed the USB, you must see a messege saying "USB Remove !" to make sure your USB is removed
