i use vista and have no problems programming any units..i use a belkin serial to usb adapter and use the driver file that came with the adapter..and if your unit requires a null modem cable, which mine does, i just purchased a regular null modem cable from Rat Shck, and i believe i needed a gender changer..

Have used Vista also a bit. The Belkin Serial/USB adapter does work but not for me with the disc that came with the Belkin (Months ago). Had to go to the Belkin WEB site and download the driver for the Vista.

Also if you are getting error when using the loader just go into the loader and then tools and change the Com#.

I would change the number then exit totally out of loader and go in again. No error does not mean it will work. I have tried each Com# and then on the second time around it worked..

your right about the driver..i tend to throw out any disk that comes with anything and go right to the web site to ensure i have the latest driver..it has become common-place for me so i always forget to mention i do that...
