Exclamation viewsat ultra questions

I have a viewsat ultra. I rebooted it using file VS Ultra Factory Bin File - V0143 by usb. now it reads no channels. how do I get the channels back, and what satellite antenna do I use? I see Echostar-satmex, galaxy and on an on. I live in Dallas tx and I have a DishNetwork 1000. I've been trying for days to try and get my channels back. Please I need help.

load the current file NOT the factory file that only takes back to factory specs and deletes all settings and channels

and setup your ant settings and rescan your sats again to get your channels back

read up on your unit all info is posted

ok, will theuser's manual have the ant settings? And do I auto scan all the sats or just one? thanks for info. new to this.

you want to scan one sat at a time.. set 1 up and then scan and then the next one.

ok thanks, one more question. would i want to blind scan each sat at a time too? or just auto scar every sat? because I auto scan echostar 7 got some channels working like abc,nbc,cbs,but no movie channels. sorry more then one question.

Thanks. I was courious and just thumbed through my VS 2000 ULTRA user manual. There's more info in there than I expected. You might thumb through it also. You will need to know your antenna settings before you get started so you can input them via your remote. I was suprised the manual does cover that. You just need to scan the antennas you set up. Not all of them. Just do "Auto Scan", not "Blind Scan". That's in the manual too. Good luck. Let us know what happens.
