i BELIEVE THAT YOU ONLY NEED IT SET TO 12239 WHEN MAKING SURE THAT YOU ARE ON 119. WHEN YOU SCAN, IT GOES THROUGH ALL THE FREQUENCIES ON ITS OWN. IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANY CHANNELS THEN YOUR DISH IS MOST LIKELY NOT SETUP RIGHT.

that is correct--changing the TP in the menu is ONLY to check your signal with--it has nothing to do with scanning channels unless your dish is not aimed properly..some TP's are spot beams and depending on where you live, you will not get any signal from these..so if you cycle thru the TP's and some are at zero, don't panic, just make sure the ones that are good show 119 in the upper corner. then when you do a channel scan, delete all of the TP's except the second one, which is 12239 assuming you have good signal on that TP, and the scan will find all of the active TP's and channels available to you based on your location.
