N3 question

All..
Good evening.. One question, if BEV goes completely to N3, why the coders can start to crack N3, and they have to wait until DN is completely in N3?
Thanks

i am always very grateful for the VS coders being on top of the game but i was kinda curious also as to whether they will wait for DN to go completely down before releasing anything.my question is--is the n3 encryption for bev the exact same as what dn will switch too? if so, then i can understand the coders waiting until dn is down also, but if not, then i would think the bev fix would be released shortly after bev is completely down (which is almost now).

That is correct, they use the same N3 encryption method that is why the bins work for both when they are released. An early fix now for Bev would make both providers change the method. Once both are completely moved over then it would be too expensive for them to change again. So until DN is done, Bev will be dark.
If you recall the change to N2 we were down for a couple of months. Then VS bought the fix and all testing started again. We have to wait for all to move to N3 to see how long before a fix comes out.
