Hello all, I have done more than my fair share of reading and then I did some more. I have dtv setup and i just got my viewsat ultra lite last week. I still can't get any channels.

In the antennae setup I have

S= 86 Q=82 with 110 and 119

Simple setup for right now, 1 receiver, 1 sat which i believe to actually be a dual. No disceque switch installed, but i have one. just trying to get some channels first. I have scanned multiple times. I can't get a guide.

I have matched my settings to numerous ones across the web. I do notice that the word 'locked' is in the channel search screen.

I downloaded a zip file and uploaded it via usb then I noticed i had more options. Still no luck, can anyone please help.

I will be watching this thread closely because I can explain my setup better once this last channel scan completes. So please help a newb out, it will be much appreciated. thx.

Read the front page all stbs need new files period and u will have to wait I see you are a junior member you have to become VIP to dl any files

Just wait for new files, as lyncher said. But yeah, I can speak to the value of a VIP membership... I go no other place than here as a VIP member to get files and news. Well worth the becoming a paid member, IMHO...

ok i downloaded the latest bin. Just looking for a little help. i don't want to have to pay for someone to tell me to get a different dish. do you have to be a vip to get basic help?

if u have DTV sub and you are trying to use there signal it will not work you will need to find 110,119 dishnetwork signal unless im reading your post wrong

ok please tell me what is your setup dish wise?
what kind of dish is it ?
what type of lnb do u have?

any dish can recieve signals but it depends on the lnb u have
Dtv dont kno if you have the triple lnb that Dtv uses are a single lnb

just need more info from you

in the ant settings in your viewsat please post what it shows under 110,119
are echostar 7 and echostar 10,11 or 8.10'' both the same sat for 110 just sum stbs have different listings for 110

i have tried multiple configurations with no luck. I just can't find any channels. oh and thanks.

I am considering it because I would like to learn a lot about this subject. Right now I am just concerned of getting a single lnb up or I'm going to throw it out the door. i think i may know what the prob is, i had the same prob myself. if you are using a legacy lnb it wont work, must be DP or DP+
