Alright I have 58 channels and some music. I am hitting Echo 7 for all the channels. I guess that last bin file was screwy because I had that setup before. I have 4 outputs on my dtv sat. So I guess I can just hook my switch up using this sat. Again I'm hitting Echo 7, what are the best sat's to hit period. Can I hit them without moving my dish. I guess if Echo 7 is 119, I need 110 hooked up to a lnb right¿ What else will give me the best overall channels.

Thanks for the sat finder, I'll check that out now.

119 is a good sat but 110 really has most of the ppv's..if you have 2 lnb's, 110 is so close to 119 that once you dial in 119, 110 should just be skewing (turning the dish like a steering wheel) the dish to the left (clockwise from facing the back of the dish). the dish 500 is the best to use for this cause it was designed specifically for this application..outside of 119 & 110..well, if you have an HD rcvr and depending on where you live, 61.5 or 129 would be my next choice.

ok i hooked up the 2nd lnb. set up my antenna settings similar to what JD gave me. Set the switch to port2 and echostar 10,11. I seem to have a good signal and quality. My dish was already skewed the right direction (my dtv dish skews as well). I didn't get any channels with autoscan. I might need to adjust it I guess.

I believe it thinks that Anik F3, or whatever, 118 degrees is Echostar 119. In the channel search autoscan when I go to Anik F3, Echostar 7 119 comes up in the top right corner...Time to get cold.

if this is the case, when you go to echo 7, then echo 7/119 should also pop up in the upper corner meaning you found it..the box is a dumb box and will only lock on one sat at a time so if no matter what sat your settings are on, whether its anik or galaxy, you see 119/echo 7 in the corner, then you are locked on 119/echo 7..just tweak your dish until you get the best possible quality signal (try and get both into the 80's). and only move your dish a little bit at a time..remember your trying to hit something the size of a vw car thousands of miles away!
