Quality Issues Switching VS Ultra To DN

I was switching over my VS Ultra this weekend from Bev to DN. There was already a dish setup when I moved in which seems to be pointed correctly. I set it up using the guides here. I am getting a strong Signal around 85 % which is constant but the Quality light seems to flash on and off. It goes from around 75% to 0% flashing. Because of this I can not get any channels to load or EPG etc... Is it possible that a tree or something could be in the way to cause this? I assume all is setup ok or I would not get any signal. Any ideas of what to try?

Thanks guys.

I am trying to just pickup dishnet 110 and 119. I did not buy the dish but from what I can see it looks like a DishNet Twin LNB with a built in switch as it has 4 cable connections.

make sure these are your settings and it should work as long as the dish is aligned right. when you set these settings you should see signal and quality jump up if not the lnb may be bad then

DISH 110
Sat Name: Echostar 8/10
Transponder: 12224
LNB Type: Standard (if using Legacy), OCS-DP (if using Dish Pro)
LNB Freq: 11250
diseqc port 2

DISH 119
Sat Name: Echostar 7
Transponder: 12239
LNB Type: Standard (if using Legacy), OCS-DP (if using Dish Pro)
LNB Freq: 11250
diseqc port 1

Yes, these are the settings I am using. I have to guess it is either a tree or a bad lnb, what threw me a little was the flashing signal from 0 to 75% and back again every second or so. I have never seen that before it is usually there or not. Specially with the quality being over 85%. I thought maybe someone else had seen this scenerio before.

Don't think you got it pointed right try peaking 119 and then turn the skew to get 110

The dish was already on the roof when I moved in so it may not be pointed correctly or could have gone out of alignment since it was last used. I have no idea how long it has been up there. I can try that also. One question would I be getting a constant 85% quality if it was not pointed correctly? Sorry maybe that is a dumb question just I never had to deal with this before.

Thanks.

Try one sat cables with no switch to receiver port#1 for 119 or 110 port #2 and setup & scan see if that works, mite be switch or dish moved

also if it has been up there awhile the lens on the lnb may be oxidized. if you can go and check it and if so then use some car polish and rub it out until smooth again and almost transparent
