I installed a file called main.pgm into my Viewsat Ultra.
After installing it, the "on" on the display stayed on and the menu showed up on the tv screen. I then put the latest factory file, then the latest bin. When I put the latest factory file the Viewsat went back to the same problem, It would say "on" on the display then switch to "n" and then to "------".

Am I doing anything wrong in this process, should I use a different Factory File Bin because once I put VIEWSAT_ULTRA_V0143.PGM file my Viewsat goes down and there is nothing on the tv but once I put the main.pgm the menu shows up and "-----" doesn't show.

Are you sure your remote is working, and the STB button light is lighting up when you press buttons. No offence buddy. Just a thought.
