Installed new 8PSK for HD on the 9000. Did new scan but do not see any new HD channels. Also quality on the normal signal is worse that with the box tuner. This one is made in Korea (8PSK), saw another that claims is made in Germany with better components (more expensive) is that true about the quality of components and will I get better quality on the normal signals (not HD). As I said did the scan and that should had given me the HD channels with the new board. I get HD on the real dishnet box.

the korean board is what i use and yes, it does drop your quality level down a bit..i usually just leave the ext tuner off until i want to watch something in hd, then i flip it back on..and if you scanned 110, you should get some hd channels in the 8000-9000 range..make sure your ext tuner is on in the system settings..

Same problem and it continued to get worse and now I get NO signal when the ext tuner is turned on. Of course no HD at all. Also a korean module and is anyone having any luck with the "ninja" tuner from Germany? PS I have reset and replaced all the ribbon connectors. Either the module is bad (on my second one) or?????? I am beginning to think there is something wrong with the receiver. Thx
