viewsat 9000hd Questions

A few days ago .I added a Viewsat 9000 to my collection ,loaded the the
HD 9000 Sat file-080922H_NewGuide and of course the new PGM 080922H did a scan of Charlie and Bev , and all was fine.
Then Charlie went down, loaded the new file and new guide 080925H
and all was well, with the exeption of the guide,my wife told me she did not like it for it was to dark and hard on her eyes,I then loaded the old
guide back on a usb stick and tried to load it,it would not load on either front or rear port,I then took the receiver to the source (PC) and loaded it by serial cable ( takes foreever) once accomplished hooked the receiver back up ,and no more charlie,I then loaded the old PGM 080922H only
but the guide was still dark, can anyone shed some light on this.or should I bring it back to factory default then load the 080922 guide and then the new file ,or what gives ,someone,s input would be appreciated

The New GUI only works with the V3 card.

There are two ways you can address this:
1) Turn up the brightness of your TV screen, or (preferably)
2) go to System Settings and change the Menu Transparency from the default 127 (= totally opaque) to something like 70 or less (= very transparent).
