Arrow The New VSMAXHD

The New VSMAXHD (New Viewsat HD Receiver)
C&P from Cyphris (09/22/08)

That’s right Viewsat is moving along to bring an affordable HD receiver. This unit is very sleek in design and the size of the VS Ultra. It comes in Black as pictured and has the same remote as the VS9000HD. The remote is not the only similarities it has to the VS9000HD it also uses the same CPU has front and rear USB ports is PVR capable and uses the same NEW GUI. It also supports Mpeg4 and handles 8PSK. However there are differences. It doesn’t have an ATSC tuner. Nor does it have a port for an External tuner on the Rear. Do not let this fool you as it will support an add-on module just not how everyone is used to. Yes it is basically a VS9000HD trimmed down however it does use different firmware and will not use the same type of add-on module as the VS9000HD. Viewsat has listened to the consumer once again and is providing a more cost effective HD receiver for those on a tighter budget and with how the economy is now this will make FTA HD more affordable. It’s what sets Viewsat apart from the rest they do care about their end users.

I have been told the MSRP will be around the $300USD range. The VSMAXHD is to be shipping to Authorized Viewsat Dealers within the next week or two. More information on the add-on module availability will follow.

I just bought a maxHD and I am having problems programming it. I got the maxHD loader and the current file but the message that keeps popping up is that the file is damaged.
I also have a Extreme and there is no problem putting in the new files. Can't really understand this unless the file is really damaged.
Some guidance will be appreciated.
