How is the picture without the HDMI output? Do you use component cables instead?

Just stick in an external usb hard drive to the back usb port, change the usb setting to the back and unit will format the drive and then you can record your programs as you want. Make sure you get the biggest hard drive that you can so that it will last a while before you have to get a new one. Or you can re-format and go again. I love this unit.

I bought this Viewsat Max HD 7 months ago. At that time I got alot of channels, but 2 or 3 recent months all channels are down. Recently I've loaded the latest file dated August 2, 2009 I still have no channels.

I want to know whether new file for Viewsat Max HD is working? Can anyone help me fix this problem?
