Hi,

After downloading the Viewsat Extreme software, the unit is not responding to the remote control. Anyone having or had this problem. Would there be something wrong with other software within the receiver?

File used today is:
DBPSW-080627X.zip

Have two Xtreme's working with no issues.

I would suggest you look at the remote and push the button that says "STB". At times another button on that line might get pushed and the remote will not control the Xtreme.

The only time I ever had any issue with any Viewsat remote was one time I loaded a misslabeled file in my xtreme.Finally clued in when I looked at the size of the file.Does the VS remote work on your tv?

replace batteries and check again be sure stb button are selected

Try reboot.....turn back switch off and back on...
