There have been many MLB fans that are pro & con on this subject, because it can slow up a game and make it even longer, but look if a controversial play in a World Series game may determine if a team goes home a loser
or a champion unfairly!![]()

Baseball might get instant replay
NEW YORK (UPI) -- Commissioner Bud Selig says work continues toward developing an instant replay system for major league baseball. At the end of a joint meeting of 30 baseball executives Thursday, he told reporters that he could implement instant replay for disputed home run calls before the end of the 2008 season. "I'm hoping we can get the bugs out sometime before the post-season," Selig said. "Whether we can make that timetable or not really hasn't been determined. "We're working on the whole situation (and) it didn't need a vote. I'm quite satisfied that we're trying to get all the bugs out of it. It'll be very limited in its form." He added that each of the 30 big league ballparks are being wired so that the chief of a particular umpiring crew can be in contact with a central location at Major League Baseball Advanced Media's offices in New York, where an official will review each disputed call.

I agree with you MRT, but for home runs, there have been a few questionable calls
There should be no replays for strike/balls safe/out calls on the bases fair/ fowl balls Lets leave that part of the game to the umpires
