I just recieved my I-hub yesterday and for the last 2 days I cannot get anything except channel 100 and 101. I have it connected directly to the router and the router shows a device connected in the DHCP client table.
If I do disconnect the cable I cannot get Chan 100 and 101. but that is all i am gettining everything else shows scrambled. What am I doing wrong ? |

Have you loaded the latest ihub release? If not load the release.
Link to file: http://www.fortecfiles.com/sonicview...ihub_beta.html (SV360Elite_v0206_Ihub_Beta) If you are connected from the router to the ihub and then the ihub is plugged into the receiver...You should be able to go into the Menu..Install and see...ipconfig... If the receiver see's the ihub then ..ipconfig.. will be there. Then you would click on ..ipconfig.. and make sure the settings are correct and "Apply".... When "Applying" in most cases you get the picture (if the server is UP). Toggle OFF the rear switch of the receiver and ON would be a good idea... Here is info on setting up the ihub in your receiver (ipconfig): http://www.fortecfiles.com/sonicview...e-sv-ihub.html Last edited by FlaRon; 9th July 2009 at 02:59 AM. |

The server is UP at this time....
The 100 and 101 channels are FREE so you would get them. It would seem the receiver is recognizing the ihub. If you go down to USE DNS: Change to NO and you will see the server id which is 77.93.75.89. Verify this number but then change the use DNS back to YES. This would again indicate that the ihub is getting the data from the server. Try "Apply" again.. "Re-boot" the receiver and go to channel 305 and see if the channel comes in. Verify your ihub serial number is correct. The letters/numbers are very small. If still a no go possibly in loading the ihub file over the regular release there was an issue. Next I would go back to this thread and read the very bottom of the post about factory default, cleaning system, etc: Link: http://www.fortecfiles.com/sonicview...e-sv-ihub.html |

1st of all welcome to ihub's great membership. yes above comments are helpful. I know my ihub does work because it was installed at the very beginning when ihub just came up and was working better and if there are no channels or see message scrambled I reboot and it starts working after few minutes and I shall recommend that you do this after 5am and yes after 5am eastern time because if you try it before that and it may be server not your settings.
Ihub used to do great after 3 am EST but last night I tried to watch at 3 am and could not because of freezing beta etc. etc. but was able to watch after 5 am with very little freezing. clearly SV sold too many ihubs but not enough capacity to handle the load and SV do know that and have enough time to do that but still situation is not so good. Last night 3 am i watching cnn tv 10 min and screen went black and happened few times, reboot receiver done that few times and I was thinking that some thing is wrong with my settings but after 5 I was able to watch tv so that means there was something wrong with server load than my settings. This is simply what I have observed but could be different for different indivuals. |
