I hulb setup HELPPPPPPP!

Well I'm glad that I am not the only person having the same problem! .I have a motorola modem Linksys wrt160n router. My settings are :
Static
Local IP 192.168.1.102
Local Port 80
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1
USE DNS Yes
Domain Name xxx.svftaiks.com
DNS IP 192.168.1.1
Server Port 1920
Serial Number xxxxxxxxxx
Apply Yes
These are my settings. I loaded the last bin powered up modem router receiver in that order and did a hard bout. I have lights working in the IHUB. I went to my router and opened port 1920/80. I'm having no luck. It did work when I hooked it up to the modem for five minutes, but you can't use it with a modem, you must use a router. Thanks to all! P.S I hope someone can help me![ I did all the manual read and troubleshooting.] So i clean all the old files out, did a factory reboot rescan all sat, loaded the last bin, no luck ,Anny help will be grateful

First look at your Local Are Connection in your task bar and open it, go to your support tab. Write down your IP Address and Gateway. This is what you do..

DHCP
Local IP = Enter your IP addres and change the last two or three numbers on the right hand side to any number.
Local Port = 80
Subnet = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = Enter your Gatway that you wrote down.
Use DNS = Yes
Domain Name = XXX>XXXX
DNS IP = Enter your Gateway here
Server Port = 1920
Serial Number = iHub number
Apply = OK

Go to channel 200..always give it a minute or two...if this does not work then.

Make sure that you have a picture on 100.
Power off your unit.
Disconnect the iHub, remove the net cable
Power on your unit
Attach the the net cable to your iHub and attach it to your unit
Wiat for the screen to say connected
Go to channel 200

your local ip and your gateway need to be set to the same lan net,you have the local ip set different from the gateway,they must both be 192.168.1.xxx or both be 192.168.0.xxx,I would change the local ip to 192.168.1.120,do not use 102 as this could conflict with other devices on your net,for static settings choose a number much higher than the maximum number of devices you might connect to your net.

you state that your local ip and the gateway are supposed to be the same?

the way i read it the local ip must be set higher than any other connected device. therefore the gateway and the local ip can't be the same ; right?
