NAG4 - No more **** or PPV Channels ??


I have put this in the Rumour section because it is not confirmed;

Supposedly in March, Mr. Charles Ergen (CEO) of DN "announced in a Memo to the (SI) department that he would be releasing the (G4) card for all PPV Movie, PPV Sports, and all PPV **** Channels within the next few months for all (VIP) model MPEG4 boxes.
I believe this is a calculated move to counter any and all (loopholes), and or (backdoors) that some (NDS) and (Kudelski Group) coders might have left into their older system Nagra1 and Nagra2 encryption systems that Nagra3 is based on.
This would of course circumvent all work hackers have done up to this time on Nagra3 systems to date, and will cause all the work done up to this point to be worthless. I personally believe this may have been his plan from the beginning and force hackers to stop work on the new system and to wait for the release of Nagravision (G4) cards.

Now, if this is true, it must mean they have got wind Nag3 is cracked. Dont know why they dont just give up and put FTA down to profit loss and apply for tax relief.

in other words no mpeg4 stbs will not be able to order ppv movies
and events?or porn? not likely to happen IMO.

i wonder if the ihub will make a diff.?

this is not wrote in stone no where,this how i could see it would be a n3 stream with a new version of a rom,as like n1 had rom2,3,10,11
n2 had rom 101,102,103,s02,so4 series now i would think if anything would go like this,n3 rom204,206,210,212 along that line.try to block holes in the rom not change to a nagra4 stream.

as i said just thoughts,but hes is the owner he could try it also.lol

easy solution to them to stop wastin money and time on preventing anything be cracked hm maybe charge a fair price 10 a month .99 ppvs drop the 50 sports ppv make it affordable for everyone

thats also my point,all who have fta recievers sub for the minumum sub at lets say 20 bucks a month, 20X3million, and thats a conservative estimate by charlie=60,000,000 a month X 12=720 mil a year revenue increase no need for ecms or the like let everything be everything,,,,,,

JMHO......

well the fact is there is to much money in fta too be killed if there is a way the coder will find it.. let's say if we need to run 2 boxes in order to have the chennels the coder's will program 2 boxes no need to be worried to much money in FTA to be gone for good

thats true as well man made it man will break it i dont worry about it at all tv is tv love the rumors those it seems the more there is the more people want to run out and buy a different receiver that would be cool tho 2 boxes one for n3 one for n4 like your thinking

Yeh.. Don't worry...Just Start picking up Local Channel ...by Putting antena Over roof...I am getting 17 Channels...If FTA goes down...I still have local channels ..since they are going digital
