Best HD FTA Receiver?

OK... I've done a bit of research, but was wondering what everyone here thinks as well...

Should I go with a Coolsat 8100HD, Viewsat 9000HD, nFusion, SonicView or something else?

I live in Toronto, and will want access primarily to Dishnet Sports as well as Bell...

Not sure but a question would be --- Can the Coolsat HD even receive Charlie HD channels? Believe I had read once that it can not get Charlie as there is no option to add a module..

Not sure but I would not want you to buy a receiver for FTA use and NOT be able to get Charlie.

As I have no HD receiver I can not recommend a receiver but if I were going to purchase one I might consider the Sonicview 360HD. Oh, Oh, it has not been released for sale yet. But hopefully just after the first of the year.

By the time Sonicview releases their next HD receiver it may be something completely different than the envisioned SVHD360. Regardless the SVHD8000 is unquestionably the best HD receiver out there at this time although the newly released Viewsat MAXHD looks like a nice receiver.

I took the leap last week and bought a VSMAXHD, it's a great unit. I add a HDD for the DVR function and I'm loving it!

Why are you excluding other models?

Make it open. There are other models working perfectly with owners (like me) very happy with them...
