Sorry to bring this up, but it is a major problem for an otherwise nearly perfect box. The epg only goes out an hour or so as you all know. This is completely unacceptable. At a minimum it should go out at least 3-4 hours. I have not seen this bad of an epg since the fortec star/nusat/neosat days and that's been awhile. Even my sv box which has come back to life this morning has an epg that goes out forever. Even when the sv is down for days at a time as has been the norm for the past week or so still has an almost endless epg. So how can this be such a problem for kb to fix? Is it because they are devoting almost all their time to international and bev channels? How about fixing what is up and running before you move on to something else?

So it's been over a day and no one has a problem with this but me?????? Such a great box being ruined by such a crappy epg. Heck I could even hook up my viewsat right now and get a couple day epg. Even my sv which has been down for about four days still has a couple day epg. So it can't be that hard to fix. So why not fix it and then be THE perfect box and corner the market on iks?

leave it on channel 239 for about ten minutes. I end up getting an epg for the next day.

I have left it on 239 for hours with only an hour or two at most showing up. Maybe it is something in the menu not set right. I'm on east coast so I have east coast summer time yes. Time is right but maybe this is not the way to set it. Thanks for the response, hopefully this is something in my menu because this is the best box I've ever had in picture on my lcd and quick channel change.

Got it! Got it! Got it! Changed the time to manual, set the time, left it on 239 about 10 minutes and viola, tons of epg. I knew it had to be something like this. Hope this helps other people I have seen saying that it was the nature of the beast to have a poor epg. Must be something weird in the time setting in the program that caused this problem.

Glad to hear you got it, On my new stb, if you set epg to extended, it won't load up, if you set to basic, it loads up fine, Just one of those weird things...

Didn't you have a friend who had problems with his kbox epg? Maybe what is listed above will help him and you will be a hero.

Ok, while you can get the epg as I described above; it still isn't correct. When you turn off the box (with remote) then turn it back on you have to go to 239 for 10 minutes EVERY time. Still something wrong (and should be easy to correct since even the crumby boxes can do this) and should be corrected. Kbox too good to have this flaw in the programming.

Have you deleted any channels ?
If yes...try a rescan and get all the channels back.Now see if the EPG will populate for you.If it does...start your delete again and pay attention to whats happening in the EPG as you do it.
Even though I have all the epg transponders and channels...I noticed if I delete the channels I don't get..it messes with my epg.
Post what you learn.

No deleted channels ever. So yours works perfectly? Could you walk me through the menu to rescan without throwing out my khub and system files? Just get me to the point where I would put back in my antenna settings because I know how to do that. Or do you just rescan over what is in there now. Don't need any double channels! Thanks for the help.
