Well, I am using a Dish500 with a SW44 switch/with power pack. That is hooked to a CW3000HD with a Skywalker-1. I am aimed at 110 & 119 currently but I want to try and find 129 now that the weather is getting nicer. I am not sure how many HD channels I am getting yet, I will have to count them later on tonight. Hope this helps you get this thread started.

I'm hooked on b3v and for HD I think the choice is awesome.
My favorite channels..???
Oasis,Equator,Rush, DiscoveryHD.....love those (all 720p)
But I'll get the module (8psk) and look at what charlie as to offer
From what I heard there is suppose to be more 1080i than b3v...
Am I right or wrong,...?

Hi, I have the coolsat 8000HD. I bought it about a year ago ,a couple months after it came out. First box sinse the old days of DTV.
I have a 61" Samsung HD LCD DLP and with the big picture I was disappointed
with most non HD channels. TSN and other channels that broadcast HD are not too bad.
Watching hockey in HD is the best TV past time. Football was cool too.
I wish there were more HD channels on BEV 82 as I find there isn't that many movies playing.
As per the coolsatHD box I am pleased with it again , especially with the recent support from our friends.
Keep up the good work!

Thumbs up Coolsat 8000HD

I have one of the first ones (from the waiting list). I like the image quality. I had in the past a 6000 and a 811 from D**h and the quality is very similar. I have several of disappointments(besides good satisfactions when it was the only kid in the block):
1.- The limit I have with it, fenced just by N2 at 82 W. Why there is not a daughter board for it? Why other brands have that board ?
2.- The DTV tuner is extremely difficult to tune it, too sslloooooowwww to scan, please...I like quality of images and sound.
3.- There is a serious fail with closed caption...it simply, dosen't work.
4.- Several times I have had to clean codes by hand when a new version is installed, It simply does not roll until I make the deleting. Whe you open the code section it is filled with dozens and dozens of garbage code...

Frankly I think that hardware designers were better than the ones making the software and updates but the main problem is it intrinsic limit to N2 at 82W
