well, actually two questions.

does an IKS unit need to have a constant internet connection, or could it be cheated and sort of flashed like a stand alone unit from a different location (IP address) other than your home?

and also, if you subscribed to some type of proxy server or secure tunnel service, does that still ultimately lack anonymity everyone would ideally like?

any thoughts and opinions are much appreciated, thanks.

The answer to your first question is that you always need to be connected.

The answer to your second question is that it doesn't matter who you connect to, if that server gets busted, the IP address you are using will be available.

Yea what they are saying but iks has been around forever if you so worried bout anonymity dont use it, but we really havent heard of any major news about anybody gettin in trouble with it but is the same with fta its a risk your takeing its a matter of going with it or just keep waiting like the rest

iv got a sv 4000 could i use the iks and if so what do i need to get started with this do i need some kind of a box to hook up to my reciever or what any help would be great thanks

thanks guys. ivelisse, you bring up a good point, i have been doing a lot of reading and haven't heard of anything either. i'm not gung-ho one way or another for any particular reasons. spending money on another hd receiver that is iks compatible is the biggest deterrent! haha
