Exclamation

I'm going to lob one in from left field. I'm going true FTA so this is probably a bit of an odd response for you.

I purchased a pansat 9200hd with the new blind scanning dvb-s2 add in board and watch a bunch of free PBS channels on 125. With the dvb-s2 card you can pick up a bunch of feed channels also. So I get three channels of pbs in full HD, and I can pull in NBC feeds and watch leno/conan/fallon every night in full HD with the dvb-s2 card (I forget the bird at the moment).

The panny is a weird choice I know, but the addition of the blind scanning dvb-s2 card allows pulling network feeds and it is super sweet for a true fta setup.

I own a CaptiveWorks 3000hd and a SonicView 8000hd. I use the Pansat 9200hd.

Just to confuse you more, If I was going to purchase a brand new true FTA box right now I'd get an AZBOX. It does dvb-s2 and it also does 4:2:2 so you can pull in pretty much every feed out there. It's also being supported by the sonysat guys, so it's got a lot of things going for it.

I'm a little weird though, so you need to take this advice with a grain of salt. If you are going IKS then don't listen to me.

personally it depends on your intents with no N3 files released and no way i am going to use iks with proxie's and my ip out there on the net for b3v or d1ckn3t to track down so I have been in the same boat wondering about HD receivers. I was going to buy one just before N3 was released but decided then to wait to see results of the file and what actions or company releases the new files for HD receivers for N3. Still waiting and reading the rumor mills until things are fixed and i can then read and decide at that point. If ur wanting stand alone N3 HD then i would recommend waiting it shouldn't be too much longer we hope lol.
