Missing channels and scanning issues???

I am having some trouble getting all the 110 and 119 channels.

Doing a "normal" scan of the satellite no longer gets any channels. I have to do a blind scan to get anything now but still I only get some of the channels and doubles of the ones I do get.

I tried changing my switch but it didn't help.

Any ideas how I can debug the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Try this... it worked for my neighbor...
1. Shut the unit OFF in BACK (with the switch)
2. Unhook your coax at the switch from the 110
3. turn unit back on and scan the 119
4. shut unit off in back again
5. hook your 110 coax back up and take the 119 coax off
6. turn it on and scan the 110
7. shut unit off in back again and hook back up the 119 to the switch
so now you have both hooked up again..
see if it makes a differance, it did with his , a bit of work.. and he said its better this way.... I dont know why this was, Im thinkiing because he has a bit more coax then he should..
hope this helps

remember to assign the ports on your swith after scanning birds >>> 110=port1 119=port2

Thanks for the replies!

I will try that procedure....after the hockey game. ;-)

This is a setup that has been working for a long time but recently started this issue.

Well that didn't work.

I am beginning to suspect that maybe my dish is either misalogned or there are trees that have grown into the line of sight.

You can try a factory reset then setup and scan

I did that once but I can try again.

It's such a strange problem. I think the last place it could be is the dish itself. I am thinking either something has moved or there's an issue with one of the LNB's.

If you did a factory reset before and you got the right setting dish mite have moved, also try disconecting one of the sat cables and see if you can get one sat to work

Same issue in SW Ontario...

My Viewsat Ultra Lite doesn't pick up some 110 and 119 channels. I've tried everything that I can think of. The weird thing is that my Sonicview 8000 HD picks up all of the channels and they are coming from dual LNBs. My sister is having the same problem with her Ultra Lite and she has the same set up. She is missing the same channels; Chiller, SciFi, HBO East...
