Things You'll Need

• Brush for painting
• Good quality paint
• Covering for the LNBF

Steps

1 Step One
Identify the color in which the satellite dish needs to be painted. Look for a high quality outdoor paint that does not peel. Request that the home improvement store salesperson recommend a quality paint.

2 Step Two
Buy non-glossy paint with a dull finish. Always go for non-glossy paints. Glossy, semi-glossy and metallic paints make the dish antenna extremely shiny, thereby increasing reflection of the signal to the LNBF. This causes signal loss and will disrupt satellite TV reception.

3 Step Three
Paint the dish, taking precautions to protect the LNBF from getting any paint on it.

One thing to add if you are painting because it is peeling or flaking off, it is best to remove as much of the old coating as possible. I would also recommend you prime with an exterior metal primer... I know it as Red Oxide primer also available in grey. It is an Industrial enamel and sticks extremly well to metal surfaces, and can be top coated with a flat enamel as mentioned.
Maybe Ill do mine with the NO ECM Symbol on it.....LOL

I have seen dishes on the web painted to blend in with th surroundings. Search for "invisible dishes" there is some neat ideas and clear dishes.
