I found this on another site and take no credit for it other than locating it and posing it here.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------- This is a basic setup guide to setup your new CW800s via USB drive. 1. Find the latest file on your favorite site and Download and unzip the file. 2. Drag and drop or transfer the unzipped file onto your USB drive. 3. Turn on the receiver and insert the drive into the USB port in the rear of the machine. 4. Press the USB button on the remote or press menu and select USB. 5. Select the latest file and press ok to load the file. Select ok to reboot the receiver. 6. Do a factory restore by pressing menu, factory default, then select all and say no to save current data. Then yes to continue. 7. After reboot, you will need to setup your antenna settings and as there are alot of different settings for different people, your on your own there. Start with menu, then installation, then antenna settings. Choose your sats, your LNB types and DiSeQc settings to match your equipment. 8. Once you are comfortable with your settings, Its time to do a scan. You have 4 options of types of scans to do. Auto, Network, Blind, and Transponder scans. They are done with the red, green, yellow, and blue buttons that correspond to the buttons on the remote. Do whichever you feel comfortable with. I personally use the autoscan and works well with my DshPro setup but test what works best for your setup. 9. Now exit all the way out until you get to the tv channels. Then press the F1 button and press 000 to enable the patch. Will say "patch enabled" on the tv. 9.5 Thanks to DISHDOG for this step! Enable the autoroll. Its not normally enabled so do this by pressing menu, system setting, OSD, and at the bottom auto roll. You can choose dish only, bev only or both! 10.Now just wait for the keys to roll and you should be basking in the glow of an excellent TV picture! 11.To sort the sid and put the channels in order press menu, system settings, system, channel No. and select SID. 12.Press the "sat" button on the lower left 1 up from the bottom and select your package. 13. If you want to configure your locals press menu, accessories, Config city, then select your state and city. 14. To set your time zone, go to menu, channel manager, timer, timer setup, then set your time zone such as -6:00 for central time and summertime on or off for DST. There are many more options but this is a basic setup for a new 800s, Have fun and enjoy!! |
