CNX V-1 USB Key Loading
CNX V-1 USB Key Loading with CNX bins 4.12 and higher

Note: Bin 4.12 and higher is required to load the keys by USB

To load keys... via USB

Unzip and Copy the softcam.key to the main, or root directory of the USB drive. It must go there!! It cannot go into a sub-directory - if you use those on the USB device.

Unzip and copy the CNX V-1 bin 4.12 file, or higher, to the USB drive. Unlike the Softcam.key file, it may be copied to any directory on the USB device, as the CNX V-1 will allow you to navigate directories for bin files.

STB process:

Turn on CNX V-1
USB Load bin 4.12 or higher
Let it finish and wait for re-boot
Once on a channel, press Menu on the RCU
Press 9999 (4 nines)
CAS menu will appear
Navigate to Key Manager
Press Ok
Press Green button on RCU
Wait for meessage box to appear and show.. Completed!! (about 2-3 seconds)
Press OK
Press Exit, 3 times, to picture

Watch TV

PS... If need be, you can make your own key file in Notepad by means of a simple copy and paste of current keys... use the example below as a guide or edit a softcam.key file by right clicking on it and selecting edit. Then save the new one into another directory, or it will overwrite the original if saved in the same directory.

Here's an example... but without the keys, as they will change by the time you read this

You must save the file as "softcam.key"

Note: there are no spaces between the key codes.

The required softcam code layout is: N (for New update), space, provider ID, space, which key, space, key code, then save the files as "softcam.key" - It does not get any simpler than that.
