Should i be receiving hd channels on this unit?

As long as you are on bev 82 there is alot of hd there i watched the nascar hotpass in hd today on it

what module do you use for this HD?

There is no module to add on for the Captain 8k, you can only get hd from b3v which is on the 82 bird, it cannot get hd from dik.

So even the stb is a hd receiver it needs a module to pick up hd signal?? On dish net?

The captain8k can not and never will be able to pick up dik hd it only gets bev hd. The other stb's (sv, vs, nf)that are hd units yes you will need a module to get dik hd, out of the box they to only get b3v hd.

Ok did a channel search on sat 82, got several hd channels but all show scrambled signal??

I get the same, several HD channels are shown on BEV 82 but show as scrambled. I have no problem with the regular PPV channels.
