I have a problem with my laptop, when I load the new file and when it verifying the file it tells me This file is not a software file, please select another, but if I go back to 07-27-08 file it loads just fine, my desktop loads all file just fine, that is not all I use a USB connection with a USB Serial Converter but I don't have my installer for it. Every thing was working on my old laptop, but not on this one I am using windows xp home but thinking of going to xp pro.

do you have winrar in the laptop to extract the files. if so then you may need to turn it on. being new a lot of things are usually not activated in the control panel. check that out and let us know my friend

No not winra I am Using 7-Zip File Manager I don't have any trouble with the other loaders, but will try winra but I don't think my usb port is recognized with my usb serial converter do U know how I can fix that problem.

If you have a usb to serial adapter, you need to install drivers.
Another mistake ppl make is connecting the adapter from pc to the receiver.
Connect adapter to pc > connect the cable that came with your box to the adapter > connect that cable to the receiver....
