I have read the threads on the extreme and they are saying that there is no support, buy another receiver. Well the picture quality on the extreme is one of the best I have tried. If any of the site Moderators can help to reignite support for this receiver, my wife would not leave me, the dog would come home and my kids would really be mine!! lol !! I do not mind entering keys manually but it has autoroll and it sure would be a shame to waste it. What about recommending a receiver with comparable picture quality? I am testing of course the ariza extreme, sv4000, vs ultra,& captive works. None of these receivers are better but close.I have a couple of friends that have HD units and they keep having trouble with them. Personally I think it is user error but I am not ready to go HD. The Boss won't clear the funds for a HD unit but she sure knows her way around silk sheets. Any and all information/ feedback is welcome. Let me know your thoughts.

unfortunitely I think the Extreme has reached an untimely death...although an excellent box..support has dried up for this puppy...I like you wish it could be brought back to life....but it looks like it has bought the farm...too bad so sad......i have a 700 plus 2 VS extremes and 2 VS Platinums....not sure how long these will last now that they are discontinued...the extremes should be good from a long time but the platiunums could die so I also must diverify...sonicview seems the way to go for me.....anyone have an opinion:-)
