FTA is perfectly legal so will it ever die? the answer to that question is no.

If you mean will this mean the end to Dish / Bev.. FTA?

NO... Why?

Here are just a few reasons:

1. Money
FTA sales without Dish / Bev would decrease and there is too much money involved for this to happen.

2. Nothing Is Perfect.
Nothing is unhackable, sometimes it just takes a little longer.

3. IKS / Card Sharing
This what I call Evolution... IKS / Card Sharing is widley used in Europe due to the well Legally protected systems such as Sky, which if it was and probbaly is hacked there would never be a public hack due to the size of there legal team.

So now that its being used in US / Canada there will always be a way to share

However this is a expensive option so the quicker they get a fix out the better.

4. Weakness
The only way Dish / Bev could really wipe out FTA would be to issue everything new from cards to hardware and that is just not viable its far to expensive and it would take a very long time so the weakness in older hardware being used is how the current fixes because available and current testing still shows this weakness.

The list goes on
